Deeper Learning

Why are we so effective at helping individuals and organisations transform? It is because we go deeper. We pay attention to spiritual aspects of leadership as well as emotional, cognitive and relational. If this sounds a little wacky, then look at the results we achieve.

Many organisational challenges are spiritual in nature, addressing fundamental questions of identity and purpose: who am I? what am I here for? If an organisation cannot give people space to address these questions properly, it ends up with a half hearted workforce.

Then there is matter of maturity.  Key virtues such as humility, courage, patience and dedication are essential to organisational success. Without these some of the most important things simply would not get done.

There is also the matter of social and ethical responsibility. Leaders with a spiritual perspective do not put themselves at the centre of their universe. They recognise there is a greater good to which they hold themselves accountable. The need for greater responsibility amongst our leaders has never been more evident.

Clearly spiritual learning - wisdom - cannot be taught. It needs to be discovered, sifted and explored through experience, reflection and dialogue. This is what we provide in our 'deeper learning' approach. Sometimes it is implict. Sometime it is explicit - for example in the work we do on PricewaterhouseCoopers' 'Responsible Leadership' programme or our own leadership retreat focused on 'virtue' rather than skill.
